The trophy will be revamped by fashion legend Dame Vivienne Westwood to give a complete overhaul to 2011 ceremony which will no longer hand Outstanding Contribution.

AceShowbiz - Fashion legend Dame Vivienne Westwood will design the new trophies for the U.K.'s annual Brit Awards as part of organizers' plans to give next year's ceremony a complete overhaul. Brit Awards bosses have revealed the Outstanding Contribution honor, which has previously been handed to Sir Paul McCartney, U2 and Robbie Williams, will be scrapped at the 2011 event.

The prizegiving will also change venue from the longstanding Earl's Court area in west London to the O2 arena in south-east London. But it is the winners' trophies which will see the biggest change - organisers have announced that they will be created by "leading British creative individuals", with Westwood taking on designing duties next year.

Brits chairman David Joseph says, "Vivienne stands for all the things we want to inspire in tomorrow's generation of artists. We are honored she accepted our offer of designing 2011's trophy." The annual ceremony will take place on February 15.
