AceShowbiz - The judge presiding over the Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy trial has dismissed two charges against the late star's companion and lawyer Howard K. Stern and doctors Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich stand accused of providing excessive medication to the model/actress, who died from a prescription drug overdose in a Florida hotel room in 2007.

On Wednesday, September 29 Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry threw out two counts of obtaining drugs by fraud and deceit against Stern, ruling there isn't sufficient evidence. The judge allowed the majority of the 11-count complaint to go ahead. All three defendants have pleaded not guilty to the remaining charges. The jury will return to court on Monday, October 4.
