AceShowbiz - Blake Lively spent her recent birthday slaving away in the kitchen - she cooked for a restaurant full of diners in New York. The "Gossip Girl" star recently revealed she dreams of owning her own eateries and she put her skills to the test on her 23rd birthday on August 25.

She tells America's "Live with Regis and Kelly", "For my birthday I got to cook at Perse, which is an incredible restaurant. I met with the pastry chefs and I thought they were gonna teach me how to make a cupcake - I was there for seven hours!"

"I cooked all the desserts for the restaurant for that night - it was amazing! It wasn't 'Lets play in the kitchen' - I worked!" She further shares, "People were like, 'You cooked for people for seven hours on your birthday, that was fun?' That was the best thing I could have done - it was amazing!"
