Music

The band's leader takes it to his Twitter page to assure his fans that there's nothing to worry about, writing 'That wasn't a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out.'

AceShowbiz - The Smashing Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan has assured fans he's fine after passing out onstage during a show in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday night, July 21. The rocker appeared dizzy during the band's performance of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" at the sold out Ritz Ybor venue and briefly stumbled and fell.

But he insists there's nothing to worry about and the show will go on. In a Twitter post to fans on Thursday, July 22, Corgan wrote, "For those that saw me fall last night during 'Bullet', that wasn't a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out."

"I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise + am moving slow."
