AceShowbiz - Everclear star Art Alexakis is convinced his late mother speaks to his two-year-old daughter - because the tot is always talking about a woman she never knew. The "Father of Mine" singer's mother passed away four years ago but he feels her presence around his young daughter, Arizona Star.
Alexakis tells WENN, "I think my mother has become a guardian angel to my youngest daughter because she'll talk about Grandma Eleanor and I've never talked about her. I have a picture of her in my office, but she's (daughter) never asked about her."
"Have you ever seen how dogs will look at something that isn't there...? I think my mum is there. It makes me feel better and it makes my wife feel better. My wife was my fiancee at the time when my mum passed away and my mum actually died holding onto Vanessa's hand."
And the rocker can understand what his daughter is going through - he was once visited by the spirit of his late brother George during a dark period of his life when he was contemplating suicide. He recalls, "I think my brother was there to tell me I had something else to do, like have two children and to do things for myself and other people."
"I've seen things that I can't explain and I like to be a pragmatic guy who says, 'We're all gonna die and turn to dirt,' but I don't necessarily believe that."
