The former "E.R." star was desperate to land a role on the critically acclaimed drama and offered to audition for it - to prove she was perfect for the part.

"There was a great role and they said, 'Well, we're not sure you're right'. And I said, 'I'll audition ... ' I went and did a great audition and still got rejected. And there I was ... going, 'What am I doing? This is horrible.' But you do it because you love it (acting)."
