AceShowbiz - Kid Cudi is giving aspiring artists a unique chance to showcase their talent by rapping or singing over one of his beats, with the possibility of joining a new group under his record label.

On August 5, Cudi shared his idea on X, proposing to create a trippy rap collective made up of fan-discovered talent. He planned to upload a beat to SoundCloud and invited fans to submit their versions. The best performers would be chosen and signed to his Mad Solar label, with the aim of collaborating and making a significant impact together.

Initially, Cudi set ambitious social media goals of 100,000 likes and 20,000 reposts for the beat post, but he quickly adjusted these targets down to 2,000 likes. He confirmed the beat would be released on SoundCloud to facilitate submissions.

He warned potential contributors that he would be very selective, emphasizing the need for polished, original artists who bring a compelling story and meaningful message to their performance. Participants were given one week to complete their submissions and were instructed not to alter the beat in any way.

Just two days after announcing the project, Cudi finished the track and made it available early to give fans more time to work on their entries. He also mentioned that he would provide additional submission guidelines later.

Before official instructions were released, fans began sending their versions independently. Notably, Cleveland musician Dave Zup shared his take directly with Cudi on X on August 11. Cudi responded positively, directing Dave to check his direct messages, indicating strong interest in the submission.
