AceShowbiz - Ving Rhames experienced a sudden health emergency on Wednesday afternoon while dining with his family at a restaurant in Los Angeles.
The 66-year-old actor, widely recognized for his role as Luther Stickell in the entire "Mission: Impossible" film series, reportedly lost consciousness around 1:40 p.m. during the meal.
Eyewitnesses described how Rhames seemed to be intermittently slipping in and out of awareness before emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene.
Paramedics quickly responded and transferred Rhames to a nearby hospital to receive immediate medical attention and observation.
His representative later informed the media that the actor likely overheated while dining, which may have caused the collapse.
Rhames is currently stable and is being monitored at the hospital as doctors conduct tests to rule out any further complications.
The actor’s team assured that he is expected to recover fully from this incident.
Rhames has had a distinguished career with memorable performances, notably in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise and as Marsellus Wallace in Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 film "Pulp Fiction," which solidified his reputation as a commanding actor.
His film work also includes titles such as "Baby Boy," "Jacob’s Ladder," "Bringing Out the Dead," and his recent 2025 projects "Dope Thief" and "Uppercut."
On the personal front, Rhames married Deborah Reed in 2020, and the couple has two adult children.
