AceShowbiz - Verity, the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's thriller novel, will mark the acting debut of Alex Cooper this fall. In the upcoming movie, Cooper plays herself in a fictionalized episode of Call Her Daddy, where she interviews Verity Crawford, a character portrayed by Anne Hathaway.
The story centers on writer Lowen Ashleigh, played by Dakota Johnson, who is recruited to ghostwrite the remaining books in a series originally authored by Crawford. Due to a mysterious accident, Crawford is unable to complete the series. While working on the project, Ashleigh uncovers a hidden manuscript that reveals disturbing secrets about Crawford.
The cast also includes Josh Hartnett, adding to the film’s strong ensemble. The trailer for Verity was revealed at CinemaCon on Wednesday, April 16, generating significant anticipation for the movie’s release, as reported by Rolling Stone.
Verity is scheduled to premiere in theaters on October 2, offering audiences a suspenseful thriller adapted from Hoover’s bestselling novel.
