AceShowbiz - The California-based heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold is set to make its first Australian headline tour in over a decade, announcing a series of arena shows along Australia’s East Coast plus a date in New Zealand scheduled for October 2026.

Avenged Sevenfold will kick off the tour at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on October 16, followed by performances at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on October 18, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 20, and finally Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 23.

Supporting the band throughout the tour will be American rock group Coheed and Cambria, alongside Melbourne’s alternative metal act Thornhill, who will appear at all announced dates.

Priority ticket access will be granted to members of Avenged Sevenfold’s Deathbats Club and Deathbats Rewards Ticketpass programs. This artist presale will begin on Wednesday, April 15 at 10 a.m. local time. General public tickets will then go on sale via livenationentertainment.com starting Friday, April 17 at 11 a.m. local time.

Avenged Sevenfold previously toured Australia in March 2014, participating in the Soundwave Festival alongside Green Day. They also performed side shows at Melbourne’s Festival Hall and Sydney’s Luna Park during that visit, which supported their 2013 album Hail to the King. The upcoming concerts in 2026 will mark the band’s first standalone headline tour in Australia since that time.

Since their last Australian visit, Avenged Sevenfold has released two additional studio albums: The Stage in 2016 and Life Is But a Dream... in 2023. The band continues to promote their latest release during this forthcoming tour.

Hail to the King, released in 2013, achieved a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, as did their 2010 album Nightmare, marking their first chart-topping record. The Stage peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2016, while Life Is But a Dream... reached No. 13 in 2023. Over the years, the band has secured multiple No. 1 singles on the Mainstream Rock chart, including notable tracks like “Hail to the King” and “Shepherd of Fire.”

Formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California, Avenged Sevenfold initially built their fanbase through a metalcore sound before evolving into broader heavy metal and progressive rock styles. Their extensive catalog has sold over 8 million records worldwide, solidifying their place in the metal music scene.
