BTS's "SWIM" makes history with a third week at No. 1 on Billboard's global charts, extending their record to eight chart-toppers.
- April 14, 2026
AceShowbiz - The global sensation BTS continues to dominate the music charts with their hit song SWIM, securing the No. 1 position on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for a third consecutive week. This milestone marks the South Korean superstars' record-extending eighth No. 1 on each chart.
During the tracking week of April 3-9, SWIM led the Global 200 with 83.3 million streams worldwide, despite a 21% decline from the previous week. It also sold 44,000 downloads globally, a drop of 61%. These figures highlight the song’s enduring appeal amid a competitive music landscape, according to data compiled by Luminate.
In other chart movements, Dominic Fike’s "Babydoll" climbed from No. 3 to No. 2 on the Global 200, achieving a new personal best. Meanwhile, Tame Impala and JENNIE’s collaboration "Dracula" edged up one position to No. 3, also marking a new peak.
Olivia Dean’s "Man I Need" advanced from No. 6 to No. 4, rebounding after reaching No. 2 earlier. PinkPantheress’s "Stateside," featuring Zara Larsson, maintained its spot at No. 5 after previously leading the chart for a week in March.
Among the Global 200’s top 10, Ella Langley made a notable entry with "Choosin' Texas," jumping from No. 18 to No. 8. The track garnered 31.2 million streams and 11,000 downloads worldwide, both up 15%. This achievement marks Langley’s first appearance on the chart and coincides with the song reigning atop the U.S.-based Hot Country Songs chart for a 20th week.
Remarkably, "Choosin' Texas" is now part of a select group of 13 songs since the Global 200’s inception in September 2020 that have simultaneously topped Hot Country Songs and entered the Global 200’s top 10. This rare feat has been achieved by just 3% of all Global 200 top 10 hits. The list includes notable tracks such as:

- "What I Want" by Morgan Wallen feat. Tate McRae – No. 5, May 31, 2025

Looking at the Global Excl. U.S. chart, SWIM also led with 72.2 million streams and 20,000 downloads sold outside the United States, though both figures declined by 21% and 56%, respectively. JENNIE and Tame Impala’s "Dracula" surged from No. 4 to No. 2, marking a new peak. Dominic Fike’s "Babydoll" maintained its No. 3 position on this chart, while two additional BTS tracks made the top five: "Body to Body," which dropped from No. 2 to No. 5, and "2.0," rising from No. 8 to No. 5 for a new best ranking.
