Ye & Peso Pluma's "Last Breath" debuts at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, marking Ye's first top 10 hit in the genre.

AceShowbiz - Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has made a notable return to Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart with his first collaboration alongside Mexican artist Peso Pluma. Their bilingual track, "Last Breath," debuted impressively at No. 5 on the April 11 chart, marking a significant milestone for Ye in this genre.
This marks Ye's first entry into the Hot Latin Songs chart since it adopted a multimetric format in October 2012, which blends streaming, sales, and airplay data. Prior to this, his only appearance on the chart was as a featured artist on Katy Perry's "E.T." in 2011, which peaked at No. 29 when the chart was limited to radio airplay.
While "Last Breath" is Ye's first top 10 hit on the Hot Latin Songs chart, it represents the 33rd top 10 placement for Peso Pluma. The song's strong debut at No. 5 was primarily driven by streaming numbers, registering 4.3 million official streams within the United States during the tracking week ending April 2, according to Luminate. This streaming count also propelled the track to a No. 6 debut on the Latin Streaming Songs chart, marking Ye's initial top 10 appearance there, while adding another top 10 to Peso Pluma's tally.
The timing of this chart success comes amid controversy for Ye, who has faced significant backlash due to years of antisemitic remarks. In January, he apologized for his statements, attributing them in part to a brain injury. More recently, his scheduled headlining of London's Wireless Festival was canceled after the United Kingdom denied his entry application on April 7.
"Last Breath" is a track from Ye's 12th studio album, Bully, which debuted at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200. The album also topped charts for Top Streaming Albums, Independent Albums, Top Rap Albums, and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Notably, Peso Pluma's feature on "Last Breath" stands as the only Latin collaboration among the album's five guest appearances. The production credits include Ye, Sheffmade, and Ty Dolla Sign. The track samples the Latin jazz song "Bésame Mamá," originally written by Cuban percussionist Ramón 'Mongo' Santamaría and performed by Poncho Sánchez, an American conguero and salsa singer, released in 1996.
For Peso Pluma, this achievement extends his record as a regional Mexican music artist, marking his 33rd top 10 on Hot Latin Songs. He is currently ranked as the act with the seventh-most top 10 hits overall on this chart. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny remains the leader with 89 top 10s on Hot Latin Songs.
In the realm of bilingual collaborations, "Last Breath" is the first to debut in the top 10 since "Ojos Tristes," a track by Selena Gomez, benny blanco, and The Marías, which debuted at No. 4 in April 2025 and peaked at No. 3 the following week.
Beyond the Latin charts, "Last Breath" also entered the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 at No. 81 and made its debut at No. 155 on the Billboard Global 200, highlighting its international reach.
This chart performance showcases Ye's continued influence across diverse musical styles and markets despite recent controversies, while Peso Pluma solidifies his status as a dominant figure in Latin music.
