AceShowbiz - 6ix9ine was released from jail on April 3 after serving a three-month sentence for multiple probation violations. The rapper shared a video from his release at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City, showing himself holding a SpongeBob toy allegedly signed by former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro during his time in custody.
Upon his release, 6ix9ine was welcomed by Miami-based jeweler Vobara, who gifted him an extravagant diamond necklace. The rapper claimed that the necklace was worth over $2 million and proudly posted, "Fresh OUT THE FEDS $2,200,000 on the neck. GOD IS THE GREATEST. MY LORD AND SAVIOR. @vobara we did ittttttt MADURO SINGNED MY JAIL HOUSE SPONGE9INE."
6ix9ine’s latest incarceration stemmed from violations of his supervised release, which followed about a year in prison linked to a 2018 gang RICO case. In March of the previous year, law enforcement found cocaine and MDMA at his South Florida residence during a search. He subsequently pleaded guilty to possession of these drugs four months later.
While waiting for sentencing, 6ix9ine was involved in an assault incident at a South Florida mall and incurred another probation violation. His sentencing was initially scheduled for November but was postponed after an armed robbery at his home, during which his mother was threatened at gunpoint.
He voluntarily turned himself in to start his sentence on January 6, livestreaming the event alongside streamer Adin Ross. This latest chapter in 6ix9ine’s legal troubles marks a continuation of his turbulent interactions with the justice system following his high-profile 2018 case.
