After decades at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, the awards show will shift to the Peacock Theater within the L.A. Live complex under a decade-long contract that extends through 2039. This venue, named after the streaming service responsible for hits like The Miniature Wife, will serve as the new stage for what remains Hollywood’s most celebrated film industry event.

Alongside the venue change, the broadcast format is also set to evolve. The 101st Academy Awards will mark the first time the ceremony is not televised on traditional platforms; instead, it will be streamed exclusively on YouTube.
