AceShowbiz - Cardi B is advancing her legal battle to recover millions from blogger Tasha K by requesting a detailed review of the latter’s financial records.
On February 27, the Grammy-winning rapper’s legal team filed a motion in Tasha K’s Florida bankruptcy case asking a judge to permit an in-person examination of bank statements and other financial documents. This move aims to uncover the full extent of Tasha K’s earnings related to her YouTube channel and social media ventures.
The request targets two of Tasha K’s companies, Yelen Entertainment LLC and Stash Money Works LLC, seeking disclosure of income generated through these entities. This effort follows a prior federal bankruptcy judge’s approval of Tasha K’s multi-year repayment plan addressing the nearly $4 million she owes Cardi B from a defamation lawsuit.
Under the court-approved plan, Tasha K must pay $1.2 million within five years, with the remaining balance to be settled subsequently. The legal dispute began in 2019, when Cardi B filed suit claiming that Tasha K had spread false and damaging statements about her. A 2022 jury verdict favored Cardi B, awarding her over $3.8 million in damages.
In 2023, Tasha K filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Her attorney stated that she "is currently in compliance with her confirmed Chapter 11 plan and intends to continue complying with all of its terms."
This latest legal action signals Cardi B’s continued pursuit of full financial disclosure as part of her efforts to enforce the judgment against Tasha K.
