Since its debut on February 12, which launched with three episodes at once, the series has amassed over 25 million hours viewed across its first five episodes, according to internal Disney viewership data.
The audience for Love Story has steadily expanded with each weekly episode release. Notably, the fifth episode recorded a 51% increase in viewership compared to the premiere three weeks earlier, highlighting growing interest in the series over time.
In addition to streaming success, the show has sparked a surge in cultural discussions about the iconic fashion of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. On TikTok, searches for both John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy spiked by an astonishing 9100% in the past month, while the hashtag #lovestory has generated more than 21 million posts worldwide.
The series has also influenced real-world businesses connected to the couple’s story. C.O. Bigelow, known for selling Carolyn’s signature tortoise shell headband, reported its highest accessory sales in the store’s 188-year history following the item’s feature in Episode 4. Similarly, Panna II Garden, the restaurant where the couple’s first date took place, experienced a 40% rise in reservations since that episode aired.
