AceShowbiz - The trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI li from KPop Demon Hunters took to the stage at the BRIT Awards 2026, marking a historic moment as the first K-Pop act ever to perform at the ceremony.
Known as the voices behind the fictional band featured in the Netflix smash hit KPop Demon Hunters, the group was also nominated for International Group during the event held on February 28 at the Co-op Live venue in Manchester.
Following the opening performance by Harry Styles, the trio performed their hit single Golden just outside the venue. This outdoor setting allowed their younger fans, who were restricted from entering the event due to age limits, to enjoy the live show alongside the crowd.
As the song reached its first chorus, a spectacular fireworks display accompanied the performance. The band traded verses seamlessly, replicating their recent acclaimed performance at the BAFTA ceremony. Several viewers praised the decision to stage the performance outdoors, appreciating that children could witness the moment firsthand despite not being able to attend inside.
How lovely to put the K Pop Demon Hunters performance on outside the arena so kids could attend #Brits2026 tweeted one fan, while another shared, okay but seeing all those kids absolutely loving the kpop demon hunters performance was adorable.
KPop Demon Hunters was one of the biggest entertainment hits of 2025, becoming the most-watched film in Netflix history. Their song Golden earned significant accolades, winning the Best Song award at the Golden Globes in January and the Grammy for Best Song Written For Visual Media. It is also currently nominated for an Oscar for Best Song.
In addition to its awards, Golden was named the second best song of 2025 by NME, while KPop Demon Hunters was included in their list of top films of the year. Despite its success, the sequel to the film is not expected to be released until at least 2030.
At the 2026 BRIT Awards, however, it was Olivia Dean who dominated the night, taking home four awards, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.
The ceremony also featured memorable moments such as Robbie Williams leading an all-star rendition of Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tears, honoring the late Black Sabbath frontman with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Tim Burgess paid tribute to The Stone Roses’ Mani, while Mark Ronson, winner of Outstanding Contribution to Music, performed a career-spanning medley with Dua Lipa and Ghostface Killah.
Other highlights included Wolf Alice lead vocalist Ellie Rowsell calling for increased support for grassroots music venues, and Geese’s Max Bassin delivering a politically charged speech attacking ICE and advocating for a free Palestine.
The night closed with a dazzling performance of Berghain by Rosalía, joined by surprise guest Björk, making the BRIT Awards 2026 a truly unforgettable event for music fans around the world.
