AceShowbiz - Ghetts, known for his role in "Supacell" and his career as a rapper, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison following a fatal hit-and-run incident in the UK.
According to reports, Ghetts pleaded guilty to charges of causing the death of Yabin Tamang, a 20-year-old Nepalese student, as well as to one count of dangerous driving related to the crash. The tragic collision occurred on October 18 of the previous year on a residential road in Ilford, East London.
Investigations revealed that Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Clarke-Samuel, was driving at approximately 60 miles per hour when he struck Tamang. It was also reported that he had consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel. After the collision, Ghetts did not stop at the scene but returned home instead. He was arrested the following day.
Tragically, Tamang succumbed to his injuries two days after the accident. In addition to his prison sentence, Ghetts has had his driving license revoked for 17 years, meaning he will be barred from driving for a significant period even after his release.
This case has drawn attention due to Ghetts’s public profile in both music and acting, highlighting the severe consequences of dangerous driving and hit-and-run offenses.
