AceShowbiz - A woman has been formally charged following a shooting incident at the Los Angeles home of singer Rihanna. Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, from Florida, faces one count of attempted murder and 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, according to court documents released on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred on Sunday afternoon, March 8, outside the Beverly Hills residence where Rihanna lives with her partner, rapper ASAP Rocky, and their three children. Although the house was struck by 10 rounds, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell confirmed that about 10 people were inside the home at the time of the shooting and identified the property as belonging to Rihanna. However, he did not officially confirm the presence of the singer and her family during the attack.

Court records indicate that Ortiz is also charged with three counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling, which is believed to be an Airstream trailer parked on the estate. All 14 charges she faces are felonies.

The suspect was arrested on the same day as the shooting, and a firearm was recovered by police. Ortiz is currently held on a $10.2 million bail and is expected to be arraigned later on Tuesday in a Los Angeles court.

Authorities revealed that Ortiz had allegedly threatened the Umbrella singer on social media in the days leading up to the shooting. Police believe she traveled from Florida to Los Angeles, although the exact timing of her arrival remains unclear.

Ortiz has been a licensed speech pathologist for over a decade, with her most recent registered address listed in Orlando, Florida. Authorities have not disclosed any known connection between Ortiz and Rihanna.

Attempts to reach Ortiz's legal representatives or obtain comment from her have been unsuccessful. Voicemails left on her listed phone number were not returned, and emails sent to an address registered under her name received no response. Similarly, the public defender's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Rihanna’s publicist and manager also declined to comment to the Associated Press regarding the incident.

Local media, including KABC-TV, aired footage showing five bullet holes in the front gate of the home. The station also obtained police dispatch audio confirming that 10 shots were fired during the attack.

The Grammy-winning artist, who boasts nine Grammy Awards and 14 number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including songs like “We Found Love,” “Work,” “Umbrella,” and “Disturbia,” remains a prominent figure in music and business. Aside from her music career, Rihanna launched the successful makeup brand Fenty Beauty in 2017.

In September of the previous year, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky announced the birth of their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers.
