AceShowbiz - KPop Demon Hunters vocalists EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami delivered a stunning performance of their hit song "Golden" at the BRIT Awards held in Manchester on Saturday night.
Following the opening set by Harry Styles, the trio took the stage outside the Co-op Live venue, putting on a dynamic show highlighted by vibrant fireworks that lit up the sky as they reached the song’s chorus. Their performance featured an energetic exchange of verses before uniting powerfully for the finale, creating a memorable spectacle for fans.
Fresh from their appearance at the BAFTA Film Awards the previous week—marking their first performance outside the U.S.—the group continues to build momentum. Although the BAFTAs deemed KPop Demon Hunters ineligible due to the lack of a U.K. theatrical release, the Huntr/x collective is nominated for two prestigious BRIT Awards: Best International Group and International Song for "Golden."
This BRIT Awards appearance is historically significant as it represents the first-ever performance by a K-pop artist at the event. In announcing their participation, the trio expressed excitement about their nominations and eagerness to perform for their U.K. audience.
Their performance was pre-recorded in front of an invited audience at Manchester’s Co-op Live, where this year’s ceremony is taking place. The BRIT Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in British and international music and also feature performances by notable artists such as Harry Styles and Olivia Dean, with Dean and Lola Young leading the nominations with five each.
Looking ahead, the KPop Demon Hunters team will appear at the Oscars on March 15, where "Golden" is up for Best Original Song. Additionally, the film itself is nominated for Best Animated Feature, highlighting its widespread acclaim.
