AceShowbiz - Foo Fighters are set to release their latest album, Your Favorite Toy, on April 24 through Roswell/RCA. This marks the follow-up to their 2023 record But Here We Are, with the title track now available for fans to stream. Below, you’ll find the full tracklist along with details about the album’s production and lineup changes.
The band co-produced the home-recorded album alongside Oliver Roman. Dave Grohl described the lead single as a pivotal moment in shaping the album’s sound and energy. In a press statement, he explained, “‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”
Last October, Foo Fighters released the album’s closing track, “Asking for a Friend,” alongside announcements of their upcoming stadium tour dates. This is the first album to feature new drummer Ilan Rubin, who stepped in after Josh Freese, the replacement for the late Taylor Hawkins. Renowned producer Mark “Spike” Stent returned to handle mixing duties for the project.
Your Favorite Toy will be available for purchase, including a $28 vinyl edition at Rough Trade. The album’s ten tracks are:
01. Caught in the Echo
02. Of All People
03. Window
04. Your Favorite Toy
05. If You Only Knew
06. Spit Shine
07. Unconditional
08. Child Actor
09. Amen, Caveman
10. Asking for a Friend
With this release, Foo Fighters continue to evolve their sound while honoring their legacy, delivering fresh energy with the addition of Ilan Rubin on drums and a collaborative production approach.
