AceShowbiz - Lana Del Rey offers a whimsical vibe in the new music video for her latest single, White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter. The clip has a cozy, home-video feel, showcasing the artist moving through various rooms of a house, especially a cluttered garage and a yard filled with snow machine flurries.
The garage plays a central role, featuring a green John Deere mower referenced in the song's opening verse, where Lana Del Rey sings about her husband pushing her around on it. Her husband even makes a brief appearance in the video. Within the same space, she prepares a meal using one of the two stoves she keeps there. The video also includes nostalgic touches, such as vintage cartoon clips, notably featuring Koko the Clown from the 1933 Betty Boop cartoon Betty Boop in Snow-White.
Lana Del Rey first announced the unusually long song title on February 10 via her Instagram story, calling it her “favorite song” from her upcoming album Stove. She expressed excitement, saying, “This is the one I’ve been waiting for.” The track was co-produced by Drew Erickson and Jack Antonoff, and co-written by Lana Del Rey, her husband Jeremy Dufrene, her brother-in-law, and her sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant.
Before the video’s release, Lana Del Rey shared gratitude on Instagram, thanking the team involved: “Thank you, Conner and Dillon and Anna and Jeremy for filming us, I couldn’t stop laughing.” She also acknowledged Jack Antonoff, Laura, and her sister for their ongoing support, adding a playful note about Jeremy dancing whenever she pulled his little hawk tail hair during the song’s creation.
The video highlights a lighter, more playful side of Lana Del Rey, contrasting with some of her more cinematic and melancholic past visuals, offering fans a fresh and intimate glimpse into her artistic world.
