AceShowbiz - Colleen Reed from the hit show Love Is Blind recently revealed an interesting twist in her journey to marriage with ex-husband Matt Bolton. In the finale of season three, the couple resorted to flipping a coin to help them make the decision to tie the knot.
During an episode of the *What’s the Reality?* podcast on January 21, Colleen shared, “We actually were at Applebee’s or Chili’s, whatever, the night prior with our families and we were flipping a coin. We say, ‘OK, heads we say yes, tails we say no.’” The couple seemed to be in a dilemma, as she continued, “We just kept flipping a coin, flipping a coin, and I would say, 'Two out of three times.' I truly did not know what to do. And he didn't know what to do.”
Despite their uncertainty, Colleen and Matt never reached a definitive conclusion before their wedding day. They promised each other, “I’ll see you at the altar,” which turned out to be a pivotal moment. Colleen recounted, “They asked him and he said yes and I was like, ‘OK, sure, let’s do it.’” While she initially doubted she would “walk away married,” her feelings evolved as they advanced through the reality dating show. “Both of us were like, ‘Let's just do it. Let’s just say yes to each other in this moment,’” she explained.
However, the couple's relationship took a different turn after four years together, leading them to announce their divorce in May. Despite the split, Colleen stated, “I had a blast on Love Is Blind.” This sentiment was echoed in their joint breakup statement, where they expressed gratitude for the love they shared during their unique journey. “We met in the most unique and unexpected way, and we'll always be grateful for the love and memories we've shared,” they wrote on Instagram. “There's not one thing we would change, and we continue to have deep respect and care for one another.”
In addition to Colleen and Matt's story, several other couples from Love Is Blind have also experienced ups and downs in their relationships. For instance, Anton Yarosh and Ali Lima ended their relationship when Ali realized that Anton's lifestyle didn’t align with her expectations. She confessed at the altar, “I can't be your wife,” expressing her disappointment in how different he was from the person she fell in love with in the pods.
Ali shared her intuition, stating, “It just didn't feel right or how I would expect that moment to feel like. I don't feel he was super forthcoming about his lifestyle.” Anton’s reaction reflected confusion and sadness, as he remarked, “I don’t know if it's looks, I don't know if it's the vibes or I don't know if it's the way that we were living together. But I can say I've done nothing but care for her.”
Similarly, Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner also faced challenges in their relationship, leading to a breakup. The couple had bonded over their experiences with loved ones who have Type 1 diabetes, but ultimately, their connection was not enough to sustain their relationship.
As fans continue to follow the journeys of these couples, it’s clear that love can be as unpredictable as it is blind.
