
The aspiring musician who advanced to the semi-finals in 'The Voice Kids' at just 12 years old is confirmed to have passed away at the age of 17 after a stroke and coma.

AceShowbiz - Former "The Voice Kids" contestant Karen Silva has died at the age of 17. The young star, who inspired countless fans with her powerful voice, passed away on April 24 at São João Batista Hospital.
Her death was announced on her official Instagram account. "Karen enchanted Brazil with her powerful voice and striking presence even in childhood, when she participated in The Voice Kids in 2020," the post read. "Since then, she has followed a luminous path, uniting talent, charisma, and representation at every step."
In a statement prior to her passing, shared on April 21, it's reported that Silva was facing serious health issues and was under medical care.
Her loved ones stated, "We ask for respect, empathy, and prayers as she recovers peacefully. Any updates will be made by our official channels. We thank everyone for the love." Sadly, her condition worsened, leading to her untimely death.
Silva's journey in music began when she was just eight years old. Her first vocal coach, Lana Netto, recalled, "After just a few lessons, she sang the song and enchanted everyone with her striking voice. From that day on, Karen never stopped singing and captivating people." Silva became a semi-finalist on "The Voice Kids" at just 12 years old.
She leaves behind her parents, Manoella and Fernando, along with a legacy that continues to inspire. Her father expressed the intense pain of the loss, revealing that Karen had shown no signs of illness before the stroke.
"She left home to have lunch on Friday, and three hours later she was in a coma. To know my daughter passed like this, it hurts so much. It still hasn't sunk in," Fernando Sérgio da Silva shared.
As fans and the music community mourn her loss, Karen Silva's vibrant career, although short, left an indelible mark on all who knew and admired her.
