AceShowbiz - Mikey Madison made her debut as a host on "Saturday Night Live". Fresh off her Best Actress win at the Oscars, the "Anora" actress dropped by Studio 8H for multiple funny sketches on March 29 with Morgan Wallen as the musical guest.
During her opening monologue, Madison humorously addressed her past roles in "Scream" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". She also joked about her Oscar-winning portrayal in "Anora", jesting about her pole dancing skills.
"So, it does kind of bother me when people assume it wasn't actually me on the pole, cause it was, and I can prove it right now," she said before the camera showed a stunt performer dressing up as her and delivering an impressive move.
She's later featured in several standout skits, including a notable sketch where Madison played OBGYN Dr. Richards. This particular sketch parodied Hilary Duff's gig at the 2007 "Today" show, which led to the "Lizzie McGuire" alum being roasted online for her "lazy" performance.
Bowen Yang's Barry was upset when Madison didn't remember their first meeting. "Just so you know. We met at the Hilary Duff performance at the Today show during the Toyota Summer Concert Series at 8 a. m. Need I say more?" he said before he and Madison busted a move to mimic Duff.
In another skit, Madison channelled Squidward and reimagined the beloved "SpongeBob" story as a modern-day tale about a group of friends navigating life in their early twenties.
Madison's "SNL" stint also included other amusing sketches: one showcasing her as a jury duty candidate and another portraying a student in an acting class led by an exaggerated teacher. Her versatile performances throughout the night cemented her status as a multi-talented star capable of blending humor with her dramatic chops.
