Lil Nas X recently dished on in an interview that he was once on the verge of creating music with Taylor Swift, but the project unfortunately didn't pan out.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X nearly collaborated with Taylor Swift. The "Old Town Road" chartbuster, 25, disclosed to E! News that he was approached by the pop star for a joint project, but the collaboration ultimately didn't materialize.
The country singer/rapper explained why he ended up passing on the opportunity to do a song with the "Fortnight" singer. "She offered to let me try a verse on something, but I couldn't catch a vibe for it, so it didn't happen," he noted.
Despite this, Lil Nas X expressed his admiration for Swift and remains optimistic about collaborating in the future. He said, "When it happens… Global. World. Tay-tay and Nassy."
Swift, who began her music career as a teenager with her self-titled debut album in 2006, has accumulated an astounding 14 Grammy awards and 52 nominations over the years. Her accolades include four Album of the Year trophies and numerous awards across country and pop music genres.
She concluded her latest tour in December 2024, breaking all previous records with a gross of over $2 billion in ticket sales. This figure is double that of any other concert tour in history, cementing her status as a global music icon.
It's no surprise that Lil Nas X admired Taylor as he gushed, "I'm proud of my girl. I love the album. She's been doing her thing. She's at the very tippety top. I'm thankful that she even considered me."
Whether they decide to join forces soon or sometime later, one thing is clear: given their prowess, if Lil Nas X and Taylor Swift do create music together, it's bound to be nothing short of spectacular.
