The legendary rock band Journey was forced to end their highly anticipated show at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo because of an 'electrical incident.'

AceShowbiz - Journey's sold-out concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo came to an abrupt end on Friday night, March 14 due to an unforeseen electrical incident.

Over 70,000 fans gathered at NRG Stadium to witness the legendary band perform, but their anticipation turned into disappointment just four songs into the set when an electrical fire under the stage compelled organizers to cancel the show.

The incident occurred during Journey's iconic hit, "Don't Stop Believin'." As lead singer Arnel Pineda reached the second verse, the sound abruptly cut out, and the giant projector screens went dark.

Fans initially continued singing the chorus, believing it to be a dramatic pause designed to engage the crowd. However, it soon became clear that the silence was not part of the performance.

According to KHOU, crew members were seen rushing the stage armed with fire extinguishers while the band members exited the stage. An announcement followed, informing attendees of the cancellation and instructing them to evacuate.

RodeoHouston issued a statement on Facebook, explaining, "Due to an unforeseen electrical incident under the stage area, we regretfully announce the cancellation of tonight's Journey concert. We sincerely apologize to all fans for this disappointment. Our team is working diligently to assess the situation, and we will provide updates regarding rescheduling options and/or refunds as soon as possible."

Journey had prepared an electrifying setlist, featuring timeless classics such as "Only The Young," "Lights," "Faithfully," and "Any Way You Want It." Fans left the stadium with mixed emotions - some were hopeful for a rescheduled performance while others lamented the lost night of rock and roll magic.

RodeoHouston has pledged to keep fans updated on the situation, offering rescheduling options or refunds as they assess the incident. Until then, the memory of an interrupted "Don't Stop Believin'" will undoubtedly linger with those who attended.
