AceShowbiz - Drake and PartyNextDoor have triumphed on Billboard 200. After repeated losses in his beef with Kendrick Lamar, Drake finally scored a win against his rap rival with his latest studio release.
"Some $exy $ongs 4 U," a joint album between Drake and PartyNextDoo, has debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. all-genre albums chart. It earned 246,000 equivalent album units in the United States, beating out Lamar's "GNX" to become PartyNextDoor's first chart-topper and Drake's 14th No. 1 set.
Drake's latest victory marks a significant milestone, tying him with Jay-Z and Taylor Swift for the most No. 1s among soloists in the Billboard 200's nearly 69-year history. Only The Beatles, with 19 No. 1s, have surpassed this record.
Lamar's "GNX" drops to No. 3 with 136,000 equivalent album units while Sabrina Carpenter's "Short n' Sweet" rebounded at No. 2 following its deluxe reissue, which includes collaborations with Dolly Parton and additional new tracks.
Kendrick Lamar previously enjoyed massive resurgence with his newest album following his performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. He reclaimed the top spot on Billboard 200 as his hit single "Not Like Us," which took a shot at Drake, became a global phenomenon, sparking countless memes and viral dances.
Drake and PartyNextDoor's album has also dominated the streaming landscape, earning 287.04 million on-demand streams in the first week, the largest streaming week for any album this year. This surpasses Lamar's previous record of 379.72 million streams with "GNX" in December 2024.
