Upon her return home amid LA wildfires, Kate Hudson details the harrowing experiences of her family and neighbors as they faced the destructive fires in Pacific Palisades.

AceShowbiz - Kate Hudson shared an emotional update on the state of her home in Los Angeles, which narrowly survived the devastating wildfires that have scorched the region since early January. On Thursday, January 23, the 45-year-old actress recorded a video along with her 6-year-old daughter Rani Rose, expressing thanks for the outpouring of support. "I wanted to check in and just say thank you for all of your support and concern and thoughts and prayers for us," she began.

Hudson shared how her fiancé Danny Fujikawa and his brother, Michael, stayed behind to help protect their home and neighborhood while the rest of the family evacuated.

Upon returning to the Palisades for the first time, Hudson recounted the intensity of the day. "It was a very intense day," she said. "We're very lucky our house is still standing."

However, she emphasized the profound losses faced by those close to her. "We are in the center of a lot of our friends and people we love very much, whether they be homeowners, store owners, people who work in our community. They've lost their homes and their jobs and things, so we are definitely just trying to support our community as much as we can."

In her update, Hudson took a moment to praise the first responders and neighbors who stood on the front lines battling the flames. "All the other people affected in Los Angeles, all the first responders, the firemen, the pilots are just incredible, and all the neighbors who stayed behind," she continued.

Turning to her daughter, Hudson added, "Daddy and Uncle Michael, who stayed behind and put out spot fires. All the other brave people fighting to protect us... We're so grateful."

The Palisades Fire, which began on January 7, has burned over 23,700 acres while another concurrent blaze, the Eaton Fire, has consumed more than 14,000 acres. The fires have resulted in at least 27 fatalities and the destruction of numerous homes, affecting celebrities like Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, and Martin Short.

Hudson, who shares daughter Rani with Fujikawa and sons Ryder and Bingham from previous relationships, concluded with a promise to keep her fans updated on the rebuilding efforts. "Long road ahead but so grateful for all of your love and kindness," she signed off.

This personal and poignant update from Kate Hudson brings to light not only her family's narrow escape but also the widespread devastation and resilience of the Los Angeles community in these trying times.
