Former 'America's Next Top Model' judge Tyra Banks has joined the ranks of numerous celebrities who have lost their houses in the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

AceShowbiz - Tyra Banks, the famed supermodel and former host of "America's Next Top Model," revealed that she is among the many victims of the devastating wildfires ravaging Los Angeles. In an emotional appearance on the Australian morning show "Sunrise" on Monday, January 20, she shared the sad news that her Los Angeles home had been destroyed by the fires that began on January 7.

"I lost my house," Banks stated, fighting back tears. "I haven't really talked about it, but, yeah, I have. I just didn't want to pull a lot of attention to me. I feel like there are a lot of people that need that attention, so I haven't really talked about it, but I can't sit here and not tell the truth that, yeah, we lost our house."

Banks, who divides her time between New York and Australia, was in Australia with her partner, Louis BĂ©langer-Martin, when they found out about their home's fate. "We were at a friend's house here, and we were celebrating and having fun," she recalled.

"I kept checking my phone, not for my house, but for friends and family, making sure they were evacuating and everything. And then I asked my partner, 'I'm seeing something here, what do you think?' and he [nodded]."

Banks continued, "I just pulled it together and just didn't say anything to my friends and just stayed in that moment, and then we went home and we cried and we had our moment."

Fortunately, some of their mementos were spared. "We're between here and New York, so a lot of those memento-mementos are here and in New York, so I didn't lose that, thank goodness," she noted. "There were some mementos that we lost. But yeah, it's tough."

Banks is not alone in this tragedy. Many other celebrities, including Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Billy Crystal, and Anthony Hopkins, have also lost their homes. The fires have claimed at least 27 lives and continue to wreak havoc, largely due to the region's infamous Santa Ana winds.

Amidst the heartbreak, significant Hollywood events have been impacted by the fires, with the Critics' Choice Awards postponed and the Grammy Awards dedicated to supporting wildfire relief efforts and honoring first responders. It's a stark reminder of the immense and ongoing challenges faced by those affected by the wildfires.
