AceShowbiz - Social media influencer KT Smith, known for her past relationship with country star Morgan Wallen, took to Instagram Stories earlier this week to announce that she and husband Luke Scornavacco have decided to part ways after just nine months of marriage.
"As difficult as it is to share this, I know that a lot of you guys have been invested in our relationship since we used to post together a lot at the beginning of our relationship," Smith wrote. "I wanted to give you an update, especially since we've both been hounded with questions. And that's totally understandable. Luke and I have decided to separate."
Smith, who is 30, emphasized that neither she nor Scornavacco had done anything wrong and pointed out that their mutual separation was the best decision for both of them and for her 4-year-old son Indigo, whom she shares with Wallen.
The couple, who had been a fixture on each other's social media accounts, shared that they have decided to keep the details of their split private.
"We won't be sharing about it, because there truly isn't much to share. We both have to do what's best for us, as well as Indigo, while he's still as young as he is," she added. Smith insisted that there is "nothing but love on both sides" and that they would continue supporting each other from a distance.
The couple had been together for less than a year before getting engaged in March 2024 during a romantic proposal at Magnolia Farm in Eagleville, Tennessee. They tied the knot just five days later, a move that drew speculation about a possible shotgun wedding, which Smith swiftly denied by sharing a photo of a negative pregnancy test.
Smith rose to online fame following her relationship with Wallen, which spanned from December 2016 to November 2019. They share son Indigo, who was born in July 2020. Following their breakup, Smith's relationship with Scornavacco seemed like a fresh start, until now.
Fans first began to speculate about trouble in paradise when Smith stopped posting pictures with Scornavacco on her social media around October 2024. Queries about his absence were met with the eventual confirmation of their split.
Despite the separation, both Smith and Scornavacco expressed that they want to focus on being the best versions of themselves. "We just haven't worked out in a while, and we both need to be the best version of ourselves," Smith noted.
As Smith navigates her way forward, she continues to be a supportive mother to Indigo and a favored personality among her nearly 500,000 Instagram followers. Her candid announcement about the split underscores the complexities of public relationships and the importance of personal growth.
