Legendary 'Die Hard' star Bruce Willis made a rare public appearance after he was seen greeting LAPD officers and thanking them amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

AceShowbiz - Bruce Willis stepped out on a rare outing Thursday, January 16 in Los Angeles, as he continues to navigate his challenging journey with aphasia and FTD. The 69-year-old action star was spotted in the passenger seat of a black vehicle cruising through Studio City. Clad in a New York Yankees cap and a black jacket, Willis appeared a bit somber during the outing.

Just a day before, a heartwarming video captured Willis warmly greeting LAPD officers amidst the ongoing LA wildfires. His wife, Emma Heming, shared the footage on Instagram, writing, "Spotting a first responder, Bruce never missed a chance to show his gratitude with a heartfelt handshake and a 'thank you for your service.' Yesterday was no different."

Since his family revealed his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in February 2023, following his retirement from acting due to aphasia, Willis has largely retreated from the public eye.

His blended family, including his former wife Demi Moore and current wife Emma Heming, have been open about his health. Demi Moore reflected on his condition, "I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely. It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at, and from that place, there is such love and joy."

Emma Heming talked about how she addressed Willis's condition with their young daughters, Mabel Ray and Evelyn. She emphasized, "I've never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They've grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I'm not trying to shield them from it."

Bruce Willis's courageous battle with FTD and aphasia has touched the hearts of many, as he remains a beloved Hollywood icon known for his action-packed roles and his dedication to his family and fans.
