As TikTok faces a looming ban in the United States, Charlie Puth says goodbye to the app with his single aptly titled 'See You Again' and Kesha pays tribute with her own smash single which bears the same name as the app.

AceShowbiz - Charlie Puth is preparing for the looming TikTok ban with a heartfelt piano performance of his 2015 hit "See You Again." The poignant video features Puth playing the song with melancholy chords, adding to the track's bittersweet melody. In a caption, he wrote, "Farewell TikTok," teasing, "I'll be back soon."

Puth's farewell comes as the Supreme Court upheld a federal statute that will effectively ban TikTok in the U.S. starting on Sunday, January 19. The ban was initiated over national security concerns relating to the Chinese ownership of parent company ByteDance. However, President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to "negotiate a resolution" to save the app.

Amid the uncertainty, Puth is not the only star bidding TikTok adieu. Ke$ha also shared a tongue-in-cheek goodbye video this week, pairing a clip of herself with her 2009 smash "Tik Tok," saying TikTok was temporary but her song was forever.

Puth is an avid user of TikTok, having documented the creation of his 2022 album "Charlie" on the platform. He noted that the positive feedback on TikTok has been a significant motivator for him.

As TikTok's future remains unclear, fans expressed their emotions on Puth's performance with crying emojis, expressing both sadness at his departure and appreciation for his touching rendition of "See You Again."
