This marks the ninth consecutive day of the deadly inferno, which has claimed over 25 lives and destroyed more than 12,000 structures.
"The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it's been heartbreaking to see the stories unfold," Swift wrote. "So much suffering, loss, and destruction."
Swift, 35, used her platform to highlight the significant efforts of various organizations aiding in the relief and recovery of affected communities. These include 211 LA, California Community Foundation Fund, Direct Relief, Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and MusiCares.
"As so many people embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild," Swift continued.
She donated an undisclosed amount to aid the recovery efforts in the affected areas and encouraged her over 282 million Instagram followers to donate if they felt compelled or able.
This isn't the first time Swift has extended her generosity toward disaster relief efforts. In October 2024, she quietly donated $5 million to Feeding America for Hurricane Helene and Milton recovery initiatives. Her charitable history includes $1 million donations each to Tennessee tornado relief in 2020 and Louisiana flood relief in 2016.
Although Swift's Beverly Hills home was reportedly not in danger from the current wildfires, her empathy and proactive stance underscore her commitment to supporting those in need.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Bethenny Frankel were among the other notable contributors, with Curtis and DiCaprio donating $1 million each and Frankel providing cash cards and critical supplies. Beyonce Knowles also made a substantial donation of $2.5 million to aid families affected by the fires.
