AceShowbiz - Heidi Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, were forced to flee their Pacific Palisades home along with their two sons due to the catastrophic LA wildfires. As flames engulfed the area, Montag admitted to being overwhelmed while frantically packing essential belongings.
"I only have two pairs of jeans and two shirts," she said in an Instagram Story while fighting back tears. "I grabbed anything, but it's a blessing because the main thing is that we're safe."
Unfortunately, the couple's home has since been destroyed by the blaze. Spencer's parents also lost their residence to the fire. "My parents' house gone," he captioned a photo of the charred remains on Instagram.
The wildfires have affected several other celebrities in the area. Oscar nominee James Woods fled the Palisades with his family, unsure of the condition of his own property. He also revealed that many residents, including himself, no longer have insurance after a "major company" canceled policies months ago.
Mark Hamill evacuated his Malibu home at the last minute, describing the situation as the "most horrific fire" since 1993. Steve Guttenberg assisted firefighters by moving cars to make way for fire trucks. Eugene Levy was caught in the gridlock of fleeing residents.
Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone and her family evacuated their Pacific Palisades home as well. The Eaton Fire, burning inland in Altadena, has forced Mandy Moore and her children to leave their Pasadena residence. Additionally, the Hurst Fire in Sylmar has prompted evacuations in the San Fernando Valley.
The wildfires have caused widespread destruction, with thousands of acres burned and dozens of homes reduced to rubble. Over 30,000 residents have been evacuated, and the devastation has left many celebrities and community members reeling.
