AceShowbiz - Cristiano Ronaldo is apparently doing none to stop rumors that he's married to longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez. If anything, the soccer star fueled the speculations after making a slip of the tongue while attending an awards gala in Dubai.

Joined by Georgina, Cristiano attended the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards on Friday, December 27. The couple celebrated a big night for the Al-Nassr forward who was honored with two awards.

As he took the stage to accept the Top Goalscorer of All Time award, which was his second award that night, Cristiano raised people's eyebrows during his speech. While delivering his speech, the 39-year-old referred to Georgina as "his wife."

"It's a big pleasure to win this trophy. My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here," he said. "She's my lovely support all the time to carry on to play. In one month I'm gonna be 40 years old but I'm not finished yet."

The athlete said, "'I will continue..because I want to win titles, I want to be a champion, I want to score more goals, I want to try to win for the national team."

This wasn't the first time for Cristiano to refer to Georgina, whom he has been dating since 2016, as his wife. During a game of Mr. and Mrs. back in late August, Cristiano called Georgina as his wife. The couple additionally appeared to be wearing wedding rings.

During his appearance on "WHOOP" podcast, Cristiano also called his baby mama his wife while talking about his morning routine. "I take my coffee when I start my day. It's my routine..in the morning, I take my coffee, speak with my kids, with my wife and start the day," he said at the time.

Back to the awards-giving event, Cristiano was also honored with the Best Middle Eastern Player award. It marked the star's second time winning the category. He took home the trophy first in 2023.
