The legendary singer disappoints many social media users for delivering a pre-recorded performance of her hit 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' during the game.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey still received negative comments despite her festive performance during the NFL Christmas Day game. The legendary singer left many fans "disappointed" for not performing live at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

On Wednesday, December 25, the 55-year-old songstress virtually joined NFL fans before the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers with her performance, which was pre-recorded. She decided to belt out her Christmas hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You".

In the short clip, it could be seen that Mariah was performing on a rooftop overlooking the breathtaking view of Los Angeles. On the rooftop, which was decked out to look like a winter wonderland, she was joined by band members, dancers, Santa Claus and a group of cheerful children. One of the scenes featured comedian Kevin Hart watching the NFL game from the comfort of his home.

Mariah stepped on a stage, which was covered with snow, and stood behind a standing microphone. She looked stunning in a red bodysuit that came with gold embellishments. She enhanced the look with a pair of black boots, matching gloves and gold earrings. In addition, her wavy long blonde locks cascaded down her chest.

Following the festive performance, many NFL fans candidly shared their opinions on the show. While some of them showered Mariah with praise, others voiced their disappointment for her not delivering the hit song live at the game. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one in particular sarcastically wrote, "I guess performing means lip syncing to the album version of the song."

Another chimed in, "Low key disappointed I thought we was getting a live performance from her." A third penned, "I thought she was gonna actually perform," adding a crying face emoji. A fourth asked, "sing live please mariah." A fifth added, "Performing it? Is... is that what she did?"
