Chris Hemsworth Reacts to Villain of the Year Title

The former 'Thor' actor loves his new Villain of the Year title after receiving the honor for his portrayal as the ruthless warlord in George Miller's 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga'.

AceShowbiz - The Seattle Film Critics Society (SFCS) has recently announced their awards for the 2024 movie calendar, and Chris Hemsworth has emerged as the recipient of Villain of the Year award for his performance as Dementus in "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga."

Hemsworth, widely recognized for his heroic portrayal of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surprisingly took on the role of a ruthless villain in this post-apocalyptic action film. The actor graciously accepted the award and expressed his gratitude to the SFCS on Instagram.

"Villain of the year?! I prefer misunderstood but I'll take it! 😆Massive thank you SFCS for this award 🙏❤️@seattlecritics," he wrote on Instagram.

In addition to his villainous triumph, Hemsworth was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor, though the award ultimately went to Clarence Maclin for his performance in "Sing Sing."

"Furiosa" received several nominations in various categories, including Best Picture, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Costume Design, Action Choreography, and Visual Effects. Along with Hemsworth's accolade, the film secured awards for Best Editing and Best Action Choreography.
