AceShowbiz - Tory Lanez has responded to Megan Thee Stallion's allegations leveled at him. Upon learning that Megan filed for a restraining order against him, the "Wish I Never Met You" rapper warned people against believing the "Girls in the Hood" raptress.
On Wednesday, December 18, the 32-year-old spitter, through his legal team, hit back at the 29-year-old female hip-hop artist. Speaking to TMZ, they shut down her claim suggesting that payments to female blogger Elizabeth Milagro Cooper had something to do with him.
Tory's legal team insisted that "the payments had nothing to do with [him] and the truth will be revealed in court." They also told people to "stop believing the narrative" that Megan made, noting that the "Hiss" hitmaker admitted to lying to Gayle King about her connection with him.
The legal team also told the media outlet, "Megan's claim that Tory filed legal docs to undermine her new Amazon Prime documentary is 'ridiculous.' " They stated that "the timing of the legal filing Meg is referencing had nothing to do with the release of her documentary and was filed simply to comply with legal deadlines."
The statements came one day after Megan filed a request for a restraining order against Tory. She wants him to "stop contacting, harassing, or intimidating her whether directly or through third parties."
In court documents, Megan detailed "several months of abuse she's endured from" him. She claimed that he "got an army of bloggers who he employs to spread defamatory statements about her." Among the bloggers was Elizabeth, who was sued by Megan earlier this year.
Megan claimed that Tory and Elizabeth had a "conspiratorial relationship," based on prison phone call logs. The "Mamushi" raptress said that "the calls include a convo between Tory and his father, who asked about payments to [Elizabeth] for harassing" her. She believed that he has been doing so "as part of his efforts to get out of prison."
Furthermore, Megan's team allegedly "has more proof connecting Tory" and Elizabeth. The team reportedly "obtained financial records of a handful of payments Tory's father allegedly made to Elizabeth" between October 2020 and March 2022, totaling $3,000.
Tory is currently serving his 10-year sentence in a state prison in California. The Canadian rapper, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was slapped with the prison sentence in August 2023 after being found guilty of shooting Megan in her foot back in 2020.
