AceShowbiz - Chris Zylka has appeared in Warren Municipal Court with his attorney Jeffrey Goodman and turned himself in on Monday, December 16. This comes over 10 days after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Zylka, who was previously engaged to Paris Hilton, faces two felony charges (assault and attempt to commit an offense) and three misdemeanor charges (disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and aggravated menacing). The charges stem from an incident on December 4, where police were called after Zylka reportedly attempted to enter multiple cars in the middle of a road.
According to police, Zylka was foaming at the mouth and appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He struggled when officers tried to take him into custody, requiring three officers to handcuff him. Paramedics administered ketamine to subdue him.
After turning himself in, four of the five warrants for Zylka's arrest were recalled. However, three of the six charges are being contested, including the two felonies and the misdemeanor charge for disorderly conduct. The charges for resisting arrest and aggravated menacing have not been contested.
Zylka was hospitalized for treatment after his initial arrest on December 4. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 17. A judge has ordered him not to have any contact with the victims and to undergo an assessment.
