AceShowbiz - 50 Cent opens up about the current development of his upcoming documentary about Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. During his appearance on "Good Morning America 3: What You Need to Know", Fif shared that the team faced difficulties to work on the project as more allegations against Puff surfaced.
"It's a difficult project because every day, there's new accusations coming out, it's new things that happened," 50 Cent said in the Friday, December 13 episode of the morning talk show. "So, it's become an octopus, with so many powers and so many things going on."
Fiddy additionally admitted that he didn't expect the Diddy allegations to reach this point. "Not this bad. Not this much stuff," the "In Da Club" hitmaker shared. "I don't think anyone could have anticipated this many accusations and things that have taken place."
50 Cent confirmed that he's developing a documentary about Diddy and his sexual assault and abuse scandal in September. "This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headline or clips seen so far," 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton said in a joint statement at the time. "We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives."
The two also emphasized that "Sean Combs' story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture's broader contributions." Proceed of the Netflix docuseries will be going to "victims of sexual assault and rape."
Meanwhile, Diddy is currently behind bars in a Brooklyn jail facility after he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution in September. The disgraced rap mogul pleaded not guilty and had been denied bail three times. His trial is set for May 5, 2025.
