AceShowbiz - Colman Domingo, who plays Ali Muhammed on "Euphoria", has spoken to creator Sam Levinson about the highly anticipated third season of the show. Domingo has not yet seen a script but has heard about some of the storylines and is incredibly impressed with Levinson's writing.
"It's characters that we know and we're on the journey with," Domingo said. "They're all having breakthroughs in many ways. That's what I found out."
He continued, "I think it's some of the most gorgeous writing that Sam has ever done... From what he told me, it took my breath away."
Fans have been waiting patiently for news about the show's return, as production on the third season was delayed due to COVID-19. Production is now set to begin in January 2025 and will feature a time jump, reflecting the cast's real-life aging.
Domingo's positive comments give hope to fans that the wait will be worth it. "I think it's going to be an incredible, incredible season 3, well worth the wait," he said. "We will deliver, I promise you that."
The upcoming season is expected to continue exploring the characters' struggles with addiction, love, and identity, but with a fresh perspective provided by the time jump. "Euphoria" has received critical acclaim for its raw and provocative portrayal of teenage life, and Domingo's confidence suggests that season 3 will continue to push boundaries and resonate with audiences.
