AceShowbiz - "Euphoria" is not dead despite previous report. HBO announced an exciting update on the popular teen series during a tech and media conference hosted by Wells Fargo on Tuesday, December 3.

At the event, Warner Bros. Discovery's JB Perrette revealed that the delayed season 3 of the series is expected to premiere in 2026. Should they stick to the plan, the new season will arrive four years after season 2 of "Euphoria" ended in February 2022.

Fans of "Euphoria" must be excited over the confirmation. Last month, famed film insider Jeff Sneider claimed that the series "is, indeed, dead at HBO" after season 2. "Everyone is walking away from the show and leaving it where they left it," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Jeff noted that they "could always revisit down the line years later," but the film critic added, "no 2025 shoot planned anymore. It sounds like this is it, folks…."

Back to the tech and media conference, Perrette also revealed plans for other HBO shows, including "White Lotus", "The Last of Us" and "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms".

Season 3 of "White Lotus" will arrive in February 2025. "The Last of Us", meanwhile, is set to premiere its sophomore season in spring 2025. As for the "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms", the "Game of Thrones" prequel series eyes a late 2025 launch.

Additionally, Perrette shared that HBO's upcoming "Harry Potter" TV series will be delayed. Instead of 2026, the new series will come in 2027 as the producers are currently in the casting stage for its new Harry, Ron and Hermione. "As you look at '26 and into '27, you begin a 10-year journey on the 'Harry Potter' series, which we're super excited about," he shared. "And I'd argue, may be the biggest event by the time we get to that series."
