John Janssen provides his version of events leading up to the 'Real Housewives of Orange County' star's DUI arrest, claiming self-defense and concern for his daughter's safety.

AceShowbiz - John Janssen, ex-boyfriend of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" (RHOC) star Shannon Beador, has opened up about the night of her DUI arrest in September 2023.
Janssen claims that after returning home from a trip to Catalina Island, he found Beador intoxicated and uninvited at his residence. When she became enraged over her lost phone, Janssen alleges that she attacked him for approximately a minute.
As his daughters arrived, Janssen pleaded with Beador to leave, but she allegedly screamed and threatened his children. She also let out his dog, Archie. "I've got scratches on me, and I'm pretty upset," Janssen recalled.
After she attempted to retrieve her car, Janssen claims he stood in front of her to prevent her from driving while intoxicated. He states that she reversed her car at high speed, nearly hitting one of his daughters and then crashing.
Janssen initially ran towards the crash but was stopped by his daughters. The situation escalated, and police arrived at his house. After retrieving Archie from officers, Janssen received confirmation that Beador had been arrested.
Despite his efforts to help Beador after her release from jail, an incident involving one of his children led him to end their friendship.
Janssen, who previously declined to discuss the incident, expressed frustration that Beador's former friend had brought up the matter on "RHOC". He believes that his actions that night were justified and that he did not do anything wrong.
Beador's representative has not commented on Janssen's claims.
