AceShowbiz - Jason Kelce, the retired Philadelphia Eagles center, is venturing into the world of late-night television. On November 21, while appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", Kelce announced his upcoming ESPN show titled "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce". The show is scheduled to begin on January 4, 2025, and will run for five consecutive weekends, coinciding with the NFL playoffs.

"Yes, I'm starting I believe it's January 3rd - I hope it's January 3rd! - we'll be doing a late-night show during the postseason on ESPN," Kelce shared with Kimmel. "It's going to be airing every Friday," he added, confirming his continued role in commentating on "Monday Night Football".

The show will be taped in front of a live audience at Union Transfer, a concert hall in Philadelphia, and will feature a variety of guests, including NFL legends, former teammates, coaches, and celebrities. Philadelphia-based band SNACKTIME will provide the show's music.

Kelce's enthusiasm for late-night television stems from his childhood. "I've always loved late-night shows," Kelce said. "I remember sleepovers watching Conan O'Brien with my friends." The show's title is a nod to NFL Films' iconic first full-length film, "They Call it Pro Football", released in 1967.

This forray into late-night TV comes as part of a multiyear contract with ESPN, which Kelce signed after retiring from a distinguished 13-year NFL career. He is also a part of ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" team, providing halftime and postgame analysis.

Additionally, Kelce co-hosts the award-winning podcast "New Heights" with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and has released a Christmas album with former Eagles teammates.

The show is anticipated to offer a compelling blend of NFL insights, humor, and engaging conversations. "For me, the biggest thing that players miss when they leave the sport is being around the guys," Kelce said. "Being able to have the show where we're gonna have a bunch of guys up there, legends of the game, friends that I've played with, coaches, celebrities."

Episodes will air on ESPN at 1 a.m. ET and will be available on-demand on ESPN+, ESPN's YouTube channel, and Jason Kelce's YouTube channel. Replays will also air Saturday mornings on ESPN2.
