AceShowbiz - Henry Winkler, renowned for his iconic roles on "Happy Days" and "Arrested Development", played the protector when it came to his daughter, Zoe Winkler's, aspirations to star in reality TV. Zoe revealed on her podcast, "What in the Winkler?!", that her father intervened and put a stop to her opportunity to become "The Bachelorette".
"We put a stop to that... only for your protection," Henry explained, jokingly expecting a "thank you" from Zoe.
Henry's protective stance extended beyond "The Bachelorette." He also halted Zoe from appearing on a show called "Quarter Life Crisis" alongside Kim Kardashian and Sarah Howard. Zoe recounted that VH1 executive producer Matt Hanna approached her about the project, but Henry firmly responded, "My daughter is not doing your show."
While Zoe's reality TV dreams were dashed, she acknowledged that her father's decision ultimately allowed her to pursue her passion for teaching. "I became a teacher, which was the best job and what I always truly wanted to do," she said.
Henry expressed his admiration for Zoe's teaching abilities, stating that she was "born to teach." He noted her exceptional parenting skills and praised her commitment to her nonprofit organization, "This is About Humanity", which supports families and children separated at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Zoe's decision to enter the classroom and dedicate herself to humanitarian work highlights the different path she chose under her father's guidance, far removed from the limelight of reality television.
