Lucasfilm has announced that the award-winning animated anthology series 'Star Wars: Visions' is coming back for a third volume, featuring nine new shorts.

AceShowbiz - At Disney's Content Showcase event in Singapore, Lucasfilm has announced that "Star Wars: Visions" will return with Volume 3 in 2025. The series, which debuted in 2021, features non-canonical animated shorts created by different anime studios in Japan.
Volume 3 will return to its anime roots with nine new shorts from Japanese studios, including returning contributors Kamikaze Douga, Kinema Citrus, Production I.G and TRIGGER. Newcomers to the series include ANIMA (co-produced with Kamikaze Douga), David Production, Polygon Pictures, Project Studio Q, and WIT Studio.
The first volume of Visions, released in 2021, included shorts from studios such as Kamikaze Douga, Studio Colorido, Geno Studio, Trigger, Kinema Citrus, and Production I.G. It received critical acclaim, earning a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 81% score on Metacritic.
Volume 2, released in 2023, featured episodes from a more international group of studios, including Aardman (UK), El Guiri (Spain), Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Punkrobot (Chile), Studio Mir (South Korea), Studio La Cachette (France), 88 Pictures (India), D’art Shtajio (Japan), Lucasfilm (US), and Triggerfish (South Africa/Ireland). It also received positive reviews, scoring a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 88% on Metacritic.
Volume 3 of Visions is expected to debut in 2025, continuing the series' exploration of the Star Wars universe through the diverse and imaginative perspectives of Japanese anime studios.
