AceShowbiz - The first official trailer for "Minecraft" movie has arrived, offering a glimpse into the magical blocky world where Jack Black's powerful builder Steve leads a group of misfits on an epic adventure.
In the trailer, set to MGMT's "Time to Pretend," Jack Black's Steve narrates his childhood yearning for the mines, which led to the creation of the Minecraft world. Enter Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison (Jason Momoa), Dawn (Danielle Brooks), Henry (Sebastian Eugene Hansen), and skeptical Natalie (Emma Myers).
As the group enters the "Overworld," they encounter the limitless possibilities of the universe, crafting TNT, pixelated swords, wings, and ender pearls. However, they also face formidable threats such as barbarian humanoid pigs, Creepers, Skeletons, and Zombies.
Steve, now an expert crafter, guides the group on a magical quest to protect the world from evil forces. As they explore vibrant lands and build fantastical contraptions, they discover the unique creativity that resides within each of them.
The trailer showcases the humorous interactions between the misfits, including Momoa's former video game champion struggling to adapt to the new realm.
The "Minecraft" movie will be released in theaters on April 4, 2025. The film also stars Jennifer Coolidge, Matt Berry, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement.
