Marvel is reportedly interested in casting 'Snow White' beauty Rachel Zegler for an undisclosed role as the mammoth Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow.

AceShowbiz - As the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is gearing up for its next phase, it has been adding new actors and filmmakers to its ever-growing roster. According to notable industry insider, MyTimeToShineHello, one of the actors being eyed by Marvel is none other than Rachel Zegler, who's due to play the lead in the upcoming live-action feature "Snow White".

This piece of news has sparked much speculation among fans, with many wondering which character the 23-year-old actress might portray next. Despite the enthusiasm, the specific role Marvel has in mind for Zegler remains a mystery.

With an acting career that began at just 12 years old, Zegler has quickly risen to prominence. After making a splash as Maria in Steven Spielberg's "West Side Story" (2021), she has continued to build an impressive portfolio.

She played Anthea in "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," Lucy Gray Baird in "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," and Laura in the upcoming film "Y2K" slated for 2024. Additionally, Zegler is set to voice Princess Ellian in the animated musical "Spellbound," scheduled for release on November 22. Meanwhile, her much-anticipated role as Snow White will launch in U.S. on March 21, 2025.

Given her rapid ascent and diverse roles, it's no surprise that Marvel might be looking to add her to their cinematic universe. Taking on a Marvel role could solidify her status as one of the most talked-about young actors today.

This wouldn't be the first time an actor has made the leap between DC and Marvel. Ryan Reynolds, for instance, played both Deadpool in the 2009 "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and Hal Jordan in 2011's "Green Lantern" before triumphantly returning to Deadpool in 2016. Similarly, [Zachary Levi, Zegler's co-star in "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," transitioned from playing Fandral in the MCU to Shazam in DC.

While the MCU has faced some underperformances and rumbles of discontent recently, it has also seen a resurgence with highly anticipated projects like the return of "Deadpool & Wolverine". The possibility of Robert Downey Jr. returning as Doctor Doom has also stirred excitement among fans. Whether or not Zegler joins the MCU, it's clear that Marvel is constantly evolving and aiming to surprise its audience with fresh talent and engaging storylines.

As industry rumors continue to churn and speculation grows, fans can only wait and see what role, if any, Rachel Zegler will take on next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For now, we can look forward to her upcoming performances and imagine the potential she could bring to one of the biggest franchises in film history.
