AceShowbiz - Cardi B apparently takes protests from her fans lightly. The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker made fun of "getting cooked" by her devotees, who complained after she shared an update on her second studio album that was expected to be released this year.
On Monday, November 18, the 32-year-old female hip-hop artist made use of Instagram Stories to show her reaction to the protests. She uploaded a short video featuring a woman, who was standing on a red carpet and in front of a black backdrop.
In the clip, it could be seen that some unidentified people, who were not documented in the footage, were throwing things at the woman. While some of them threw eggs, one in particular poured a bucket of water, leaving the woman's clothes and hair wet.
Not stopping there, one mystery man was caught on camera pushing the backdrop before kicking it with his foot, prompting the backdrop to fall. Over the video, Cardi wrote, "I'm getting cooked," adding a slew of emojis including the laughing face one.
The Instagram Story came shortly after Cardi revealed that she delays her sophomore album to 2025. During a livestream, she said, "I've been feeling so emotional lately because I know next year is going to be my f**king year. This has been the most weirdest year I have ever experienced. I don't know what the f**k happened this year, I can't even tell you. [I] fell in love. Then fell out of love, then got a divorce."
"I don't know what the f**k is going on. I'm going through a very different transition in my f**king life and life is moving a little bit too fast. I don't want to crash. I have to get my s**t together," she continued. "Next year, my album will be out, my secret businesses will be out. I can't tell you what I'm working on. Hopefully next year I get me a little boyfriend. I'm h**-less right now. I gotta get my s**t together."
Later on, Cardi's fans, famously known as Bardi Gang, expressed their disappointment on social media. One in particular slammed the spitter, "Hey lazy we heard this the past years... we know nothing is coming... You are a disgrace to music." Another chimed in, "Atp Cardi and her team needs to stfu about the album until she ready to drop. Deada**."
